i was talking about the disk write cache setting on raid controller. Are you sure i will get performance increase if i enable is since i have 1gb of cachr on  controller itself?

The HDD cache setting within the operating system does not matter. The use of HDD cache is controlled through the RAID controller. If you enable the HDD cache within the controller it will increase performance, but it is not battery backed so it can cause data loss/corruption in the event of power loss. If you have the server powered through a UPS then the risk of data loss/corruption is reduced.

Yes, it will increase write performance.

Write back caching is write caching. Adaptive read ahead is read caching. You don't set a percentage to either. Read caching only works with sequential reads. It will prefetch the next sequential data. You can read more about the controllers here:
