Does 2950 PERC5/i supportSAS without RAID?
Hi Experts,
I have a PE 2950 for home DAW(Digital Audio Workstation) that needs high CPU power and high speed
random file access. An install of MS-XP on standard RAID-0 was completed.
I need easy disc swap similar as CD/DVD drives, but RAID is difficult or impossible to do.
I want to use SAS drives without RAID supports, but no description about how to configure
in DELL and LSI-Logic documents. Should I replace a PERC5/i card by a SAS option card or not?
Let me know how to configure PERC 5/i for SAS/SATA without RAID.
