AS 500 soundbar not functioning

I have an old but well-functioning monitor with an AS500 soundbar. It has worked fine for years but recently there is no audio coming through it. I like to listen to podcasts and music on YouTube and this is a real nuisance. I have tried various troubleshooting tips online and failed to solve the problem. Any ideas?
