Dell Precision 3630 wifi bluetooth module\card part numbers?
I have a Dell Precision 3630 tower without wireless hardware. I need wifi and bluetooth and only OEM parts must be installed, as per company policy. Anyone know the number to order? Thanks.

If I want to add an Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 9260 card, which location should it be added to? I have a PM981 NVMe Samsung 256GB card installed. I am wondering if they are using the same slot.

The Wireless card needs to be installed via PCIe adapter, not using the same slot for your Samsung drive.

Thank you for your help. My goal is to add Wifi and Bluetooth to my Precision 3630 machine. Could you please confirm my above two pictures, the location and the wifi card? do I need to buy an adapter with the card for the installation?

Hello James,
Yes, you can use either of the bottom two slots in #21. It will be better to buy a complete kit as it will have a wifi/bluetooth card, a PCIe adapter, anntena kit, and a USB cable for bluetooth. You can review these to get some ideas before making a purchase.

Are they all in one? Does this one compatible with our Precision 3630?
Where is the F_USB connector on the motherboard for the Bluetooth USB cable?
If #11 or #12 is the connector for Bluetooth, then I will have trouble adding Bluetooth. Because they are occupied right now.

Hello James,
The selected adapter should work. USB for bluetooth cable will be connector #17, next to password jumper. Although the number of pin might be different, matching up the connector with keyed (missing pin).
To get full bandwidth, your router should have wifi 6 AX protocol, otherwise, it will connect at lower band like AC, wifi 5.
Not all adapter are all in one. Many (used in workstation) are wifi only.

Yes, that is the bandwidth for wifi 6. It should be enabled to use with wifi 6 devices. You need to set broadcast ID and passcode, it will show up as connectable to your compatible devices.

You mentioned wifi 6. Is it this?
We just switched to Verizon Fios. The router is from Verizon. I don't know why that 6GHz is disabled. It looks like I should enable it.

Intel wireless bluetooth combo m2 card 9260NGW D P/N: 01RKV5 or the 8260NGW, which is 08XG1T
This plugs into a PCIe slot and into the CAC_PIV/BT connector #17 on the MB.
There are other similar modules available with 9 pin cables. They will also work, but pay attention to the position of the missing/blocked pin for keying.
I know this thread is old, but I am putting this info here for reference since I had the same question. It can also be found in another thread.
