926 photo printer

I have a 4 yr old 926 all-in-one printer and it has suddenly started printing multiple horizontal lines across all the text/graphics when I print. Is there anything to fix this? I have unplugged it, changed the cartridges, cleaned it out, ran the maintenance pages (alignment and print head cleaner) and it still is printing the lines...any suggestions?

thanks!

    bobbi13,

Are you using Dell Series 9 ink cartridges?

Go to ImageShack® upload the image and post the direct link back here. A picture of the document may reveal the problem.

Yes - series 9 black, color and I have also tried changing to the photo ink as well. Same results. They are not random ink stain lines, but it looks like 5 lines grouped together to form a bar, under or across every few lines line of text or graphics.

yes, i print alot of photos. : ) I cannot imagine it sitting too long...I use it almost daily. It just suddenly started misprinting.  Is there a way to attach a scanned image here? I could attach a test page to show example.

    bobbi13,

Photo goes in the black side.

If the lines are across and at the same measurement, I would guess you have a flat spot on the roller, sometimes from sitting too long.
