Can't install Dell 720 printer driver

When I try to install the downloaded printer driver for the Dell 720 printer (R80999) I get the following message:
16 Bit Windows Subsystem
C:\windows\system32\autoexec_nt
The system file is not suitable for running ms-doc and microsoft windows applications.
Choose close to teminate.
What's going on?

I'm running XP on a Dell 4800.

This has to deal with the SP2. The Lexmark site has the answers, I don't know why dell doesn't supply them. The answer is also on the microsoft site just type in "16 bit driver"

Thank you so much for that information! It was very useful, except I am having a bit of trouble with the instructions on the Microsoft website. When I get to #13 on the resolution instructions, I don't know where I can find the ...system32 folder that they talk about. Also, I tried the first part of the resolution instructions, and this may seem like a dumb question, but I don't know which one of my CD's is the Windows 2000 Server CD! None of the CD's had that title on it. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Just when I thought I had finally conquered this problem, I run into another one!!
