Dell 1600N scanning functions

Have a 1600N installed on Windows 2000 domain with Citrix and terminal services running. Users wish to scan a document at the scanner and have scan directed to a network share so the users can access the scans.
 
Faxing and printing functions are good but scanning is not working as expected
 
Can this be accomplished.

    Can anyone tell me how to scan in color????  I need to know ASAP

    Go through the write-up from above and get your scanner set up on the network...if you are using the network connection vs. USB. 
     
    Open up the scanner from the system tray utility and navigate to the preferences tab.  There, simply change the scan type to Color with the desired settings.
     
    Then you simply place the item on the flatbed and let er rip.
