Print Spooler 922AIO

I recently downloaded a new driver for my Dell 922AIO Printer.  However, my Inspiron 5160 does not seem to be recognize the printer.  The following message pops up when I try to print something:  " The print spooler is not running"  When restarting the computer I have also received the following message:  "Spooler subsystem app encountered a problem and needed to close."  I have reinstalled the printer software several times and the same thing keeps happening.  Does anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem?  Thank you.

    Please try it this way.

Disconnect your printer. Download and run this patch to completely remove the printer from your computer.

    Restart your computer.

    Download the proper drivers

    XP Drivers

    Vista 32-bit Drivers

Install the proper drivers. You'll be prompted when to connect your printer.

    Scanning

Scanning using USB connection, open the Dell All-In-One Center, click on scanning and copying and scan from there.

Scanning wirelessly, use the scan buttons on the printer.

Unfortunately, I have done exactly what you prescribed several times and still the computer does not recognize the 922AIO printer.  I am quite exasperated.  Any other thoughts??  Thanks.

If you have a Vista machine, you MUST use the patch to remove the printer, then restart the computer.

Also check printers and faxes. Make sure the printer is online.

    Also check this

Start, run  or press the Windows Key and the R key at the same time.

    Type

    services.msc

    hit enter

look at the Print Spooler. Make sure it's set for automatic. Also restart the service.

The printer is now working.  I'm still not sure what happened, but at least it's working and I'm happy.  Thank you for your help!
