[SOLVED] magenta spray over paper

On every document we print, there is a horizontal spray of magenta toner on the front, and vertical magenta + cyan lines on the back.

On the front, its full dusting of magenta (the entire sheet is covered), with some horizontal lines stronger than others. On the back, its a 2 inch magenta stripe on the left side, a 3 inch mix of cyan and magenta vertical lines starting at the center, and some cyan streaks on the far right.

When I pull the printer open, the imaging drum, the fusor, and all of the rollers have magenta toner powder on them. Cleaning it up with kleenex will make the printouts slightly pink (barely able to see the excess powder), but after 5 pages or so, it will be back to very noticeable.

The imaging drum is brand new (less than 500 pages of use; this happened with the previous imaging drum), the toner has all been installed correctly, and there don't seem to be any other problems.

I am having the same issue and have found no solution.  Hopefully someone can help us.  Have you tried calling support?  I wonder if that is the next step to take.

As a follow up, replacing the imaging drum ($30 from Dell) fixed the issue within 5 pages.
