Outlook 2003 font color

I just got a new computer at work, and Outlook 2003 was already installed on it.  The problem I am having is when I start typing an email, the font color is too light to see, so I've been having to change he font color EVERY time I want to send an email.  I've been playing around with the settings, but no luck so far.

I also set up to put a signature on all emails, and that shows up in a light color as well, so I also need to change that every time.

I tried typing in Word and pasting it into the email, but it's the same story.

Any ideas??

In Outlook, Tools, Options, Mail Format tab. Click the Fonts button. There are three areas for changing fonts. Click the first button (When Composing a new message) labeled Choose Font. You'll be able to change the color. You may want to check the other two areas.
