1100MP DDP2000 error

I noticed that in the FAQ** (see below) there is information posted for the chipset driver DDP2000.
However I still have not gotten a updated answer to whether or not this has been resolved.
I went to the 1100MP download page and there is no available firmware update.

I have a few of these projectors and I really need this resolved.

23. Projector request CD
Problem: The Dell 1100MP projector may request a driver CD when attached to a computer using the USB cable

Discussion: When attaching the USB cable from the Dell 1100MP projector to a computer, the Operation System will prompt for a driver CD to install the appropriate drivers to recognize the DDP2000 chipset. This chipset is part of the USB interface, which allows the use of the remote control. If you attempt to install the DDP2000 driver, it will fail and a "bang" will be placed in Device Manager

Solution: As a workaround, cancel the add new hardware wizard. The operation of the remote will not be affected by canceling the wizard. In the event that you attempted to install the driver, remove the entry from Device Manager. New firmware is being developed to address this issue

I am a bit confused.  We first got this projector in about six months ago where i first found this problem.  I contacted Dell and trhey told me that they were aware of the problem and that it was being fixed in the factory and that any unit being shipped out would be shipped with the updated firmware.  Ok, now six months later one of my users ordered one and same exact issue.

Has this been resolved internal in Dell.  Any expected time frame..?

Thanks in advance for your help.
