Image is projeced too high
I have a Dell 4100MP projector and the image is projected too high. I am putting the projector up and out of the way and the image is on the celing not on the screen? What setting will adjust this? I am not finding any one that adjusts the angle of the projected image.

I think I can figure out for myself to do that....GRRRRRR. I would like to know what can be done to correct this problem.3533

Not to state merely the obvious, but the only way to "correct this problem" as you would like to see is to get a different brand projector.
On the other hand, if you manage to suspend your projector from the ceiling, the image just may be projected at the "normal" place.

This goes back a few years. Every once in a while somebody would ask how to adjust a Dell projector's image so that it wouldn't be too high. This has existed in all the Dell models that I know, starting with 2100 or 2200. I have the same problem in my classroom, but I deal with it by proping up the back half an inch.A forum search using "projector image too high" will show up a couple of previous threads on the same issue.3533

Dell really needs to be more up-front about this design flaw/feature.I just purchased a new 1100mp, and it is projecting at an abusrdly high angle. I have the projector tilted towards the floor at about a 30* angle to achieve a head-on angle. It is very clear that only the top half of the lens is being used to project the image, which can't be good for image quality.For reference, some previous threads about this issue are 4100MP image points to the sky , Image display angle 2300MP how do i mount my 2200 higher than a foot off the ground with a square picture and more....Please pass along to Dell Marketing that they need to mention the projection angle in their product description.Thanks,Sam3533

Well Dell sent me a replacement projector but it to did the same thing. It points to the sky, and you need to put a book or something to prop the back up to get the image to project straight forward. Am I wrong but there is a height adjustment in front of the projector? Wouldn't it make more since to put that height adjustment in the back of the projector: smileymad:

I would like to get a pre-paid shipping label to get this replacement projector sent back to Dell... If the replacement does the same thing I am not going to pay for return shipping.
