LCD only displays wallpaper
I have an inspiron 8200 and a Dell projecto 2200MP. I have used powerpoint slideshows successfully before...however now when I connect my laptop and projector, the LCD ONLY shows my wallpaper. None of my desktop items or PPT or anyother programs are displayed. I have played around with the settings and troubleshooting and nothing seems to work. Anyone have a suggestion?

I have the opposite problem; my Inspiron 6000 screen stays normal, but the projector screen just displays the wallpaper.Can anyone help ??PLEASE

Just so that we aren't missing anything, please verify that either of the following is performed (both cannot be done at the same time):
Option A: Disable the extended desktop in Display Properties after the projector is connected and powered up. Then use Fn+F8 to try toggling the activated monitors.
Option B: (If the extended desktop display is enabled,) in PowerPoint go to Slide Show > Set Up Show > Multiple Monitors and select Monitor 2 from the drop-down menu.
