To test power consumption, we hooked the C6220 up to our inline power meter. With each node loaded with Windows Server 2008 R2 and idling along we saw first, second, third and fourth nodes draw a total of 135W, 200W, 290W and 350W, respectively.
Using the Sisoft Sandra benchmarking app to push the CPUs to maximum load on each node we saw power peak at 364W, 671W, 945W and 1242W. Dell estimates the C6220 will save you around 100W of power over four servers.
Is there anything on Dell side that can confirm this? I have limited power available at the Datacenter, and need to know how many of C6220 I can power on without flipping the breaker at 30A.
Hi, "Question is on a C6220 II with 2 Nodes (2U Sled), how much amp does it use?" I'm afraid we don't have such knowledge. You could deduct from the guideline/specification I presented to check out the maximum AMP. Sorry I can't be of help this time. We could wait for other community users to see what they think about. And I'm afraid there's no such to monitor the power consumption, sorry the link didn't work.
