Testing case creation

Hello all,

I have installed the SCG application and added a few PowerEdge iDRACs.

Also I have installed ISM agents on the servers. The devices are shown as connected and their monitoring is enabled in SCG. So they seem to be fine.

Now I need to ensure if the automatic case creation works as expected when a hardware fault occurs.

Is there any way to do that without breaking the hardware?!

I found that it's possible in iDRAC to trigger a test alert like FAN0001 which will be displayed in the iDRAC alerts / logs. But nothing was shown on SCG.

Thanks for your help 🙌

    Hello,

You should be able to Test event this way:

Log into the DRAC go to: configuration > system settings > Test Event
In the input box CPU0012 , then hit Test

If that doesn't work, confirm you have it configured.
