CD ROM PROBLEM
Dell installed me a new cd rom drive hl dt st cd rom gcr 8483b wich I 've downloaded the drvier but still, music cd's are sounding like if they were scratched or damaged. Dell told me that I need something to download but I dont know what it is, please help me.

Hi Hannibalk,
Enter the BIOS of your system:
(here is the link for the User Guides, click on your system and follow the instructions)
and verify that the drive is turned on. Also, click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to section 15, article 14 and verify that the drive is running in DMA mode and not PIO mode.
