Dell Hard Drive Diagnostics return code 2
I am having a problem with one of my Dell computers hard drive and when I run the BIOS hard drive diagnostics it returns code 2, anyone know what a code 2 is?
Computer: Optiplex 260GX
OS: Windows 7
Hard Drive: Maxtor 5A300J0
Well I unplugged and plugged back in the hard drive abd then ran SeaTools from Seagate and no errors were found and I have not had any problems for a few days. I wish there was a listing of the codes from the dell diagnostics so I knew if maybe it was just a cable.

The hard drive failed its self test - replace the drive with a new one.
