If you formatted it then there is no perhaps - you partitioned it.  Can't do one without the other.

You should go into Drive Management and see if the drive is there.  If so, then remove all partitions, make a new one(s), and format.  There is no reason to use Lifeguard at all.

If it's still not there, go into BIOS and set it to auto.

I already set it to auto in the bios,

Primary drive = 30gb
Primary slave = 200gb

 

Bios detect it, but Windows doesn't.  It is still not on "My Computer"

Open the disc administrator in the control panel, under Computer Management.  Does the drive show up?

Yes, I opened it up and it looks like this

 

As of now, it's like this:

In this setting

PRIMARY MASTER: 30-GB drive on master w/ slave present
PRIMARY SLAVE: OFF
SECONDARY MASTER: 200-GB drive on master
SECONDARY SLAVE: OFF

The BIOS and XP detects the drive.

In

PRIMARY MASTER: 30-GB drive on master w/ slave present
PRIMARY SLAVE: 200-GB drive on slave
SECONDARY MASTER: DVD Drive on MASTER
(optional) SECONDARY SLAVE: DVD drive on SLAVE

The BIOS detects, but XP does not detect it.

This makes no sense!  Grrr!
