Just updated my 7840 to Lollipop. Update went smooth (aside from the encryption thing which took forever). First thing I tried to do is to move an app to sd, and it fails every time. The specific message I get is, "Couldn't move app". Happens every time. I've unmounted and remounted my sd card. Reformatted it. No luck. Anyone else?
Also, a notification keep telling me that an app requires an update to Google Play Services, yet when I click on the notification it takes me to the Play Store and tells me there is no update for Google Play Services!
Ok. I fixed the Google Play Services problem, but to do it, I had to go into settings-apps and uninstall updates to google play services. Then I went back into the play store and updated it.
As for the move to sd function, it's spotty at best. It actually works, but fails probably 50% of the time for me. It seems certain apps will work, and others will not. Apps that I CAN move to SD on other devices of mine running Lollipop, will not move to SD on this one.
I have run into several issues since updating to 5.0.2:
- I use ComicRack to read comics and is frequently stalling and freezing when I try to open a new book. This never happened before and generally resolves itself after a minute or so. This does not happen on other devices I have running 5.0.2 (Nexus 7 2013, Galaxy S6)
- When trying to log in to HBO Go, the sign in screen caused the tablet to lock up completely, necessitating a hard shutdown of the tablet. I waited over five minutes for it to resolve itself. This never happens on my Galaxy S6.
- Occasionally scrolling through Tumblr, images start to "break up" as if the scrolling is lagging big time. Again, never happens on my other devices and my network connection is plenty strong.
- About every other time I go to unlock the tablet, my wallpaper is pushed over to the right, cutting off about a quarter of the full screen image (portrait mode only).
I'm sure I will run in to more of these issues and am worried that the new version is the root cause. Thoughts?

Could you list the apps you were having trouble moving to SD so we can investigate on our side?
I quite do not like this update very much since everything acting a bit weird:
1. They removed the sound volume adjustment so I need to use the physical button now but somewhat it is delay a little bit, if you adjust louder or softer you cant see the bar moving at all.
2. after I tried to restarted the device, it is fine again but then, next to my wifi there is a star sign which I dont understand why.
3. Light sensor did not work so well as I used adaptive adjustment based on the available light.
4. The Max Audio which I liked before did not function well after the update.
For all I still like the tablet I hope they can make another firmware update to repair this.
Upgrade went flawless. Most apps can be moved to SD card for me.
Here are the problems i had so far:
-> very slow/flickering scrolling in feedly. Probably a feedly problem
-> When i add applications to the desktop, and reboot, they are gone again. Have to rearrage my desktop every time i do it.
-> wifi is very spotty. Worked much better in 4.4.4, i have areas in the house where wifi is now just not working at all.
-> Slowness in certain situations (typical android problem though). Like, you wake the device up, try to enter your passcode, and nothing reacts for 10 seconds. You press one number... it comes up, you try to press the next, nothing.

Sure.
Angry Birds Star Wars 2 and WGT Golf Mobile off the top of my head. I'll look for others and list them.
I got my Venue 7840 the day before the upgrade so some of this may be normal and I just didn't notice. None of these complaints were observed before the upgrade.
1) Several programs lock my device up (freeze). The device stops responding to all input including the side buttons. Most notable is Comixology, but also Play Books.
2) To rotate the screen I tilt it towards me. I've tried calibrating the gyro, but that didn' help. Also, it fails the gyro self test.
3) Before the upgrade I couldn't move things to SD card. After upgrade, the option is available, but doesn't do anything. I've tried it with Comixology, KotOR, Syberia, Icewind Dale, as well as a number of smaller apps. It moves the data to "USB Storage app" instead which I understand is on the onboard storage.
The SD Card selftest passes, and I tried wiping the card with zeros. However, nothing seems to work.
