Jumbo frames on Unity

Hi,

I am having a tough time trying to find a way to configure jumbos on a particular trunked in VLAN on a Unity 300.

The 2 ethernet ports we could physically connect on each SP are each in a LAG with several VLANs trunked in. I can't run jumbos on all of them because the network paths simply don't support it,.but the one VLAN where I want to run them - there's no way to configure that interface specifically is there? I mean, did EMC really limit MTU configuration ONLY at the physical NIC level? On the VNX's and every other NAS we have this isn't the case, I find this hard to believe.

thanks

    Hello downhill2,

I am not aware of any way to configure a single interface on a unity system.  Have you tried to contact support, or is your warranty expired on this system?

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I have not opened a support ticket as  I thought maybe someone had tried this already. Like I noted, the VNX's had this capability so why this was not carried forward to this code base makes no sense to me, unless the VNXe's never had it either.

I guess I will open a case and see what comes from it.

can you describe your use case - i.e. why you want Jumbo frames only on some interfaces ?
