I'm trying to add nas-n6040 to the ViPR instance. NAS version is Data ONTAP Release 8.1.1P2 7-Mode. I receive the following message on a Storage System tab
Error Details
Discovery failed for Storage System: urn:storageos:StorageSystem:51250204-066b-47dc-ab2f-6a1f781d3fb4: because exception occurred while attempting to retrieve NetApp filer information. Storage system: 10.1.1.156 Exception listing the system information on NTAP array Unparseable number: "Release"

Is there a way to resolve a discovery issue? Thank you in advance.
We haven't tested rebranded NetApp arrays so I assume the reason you are having issues is because you are using slightly different firmware versions then we support. We have the ViPR 2.0 release coming out shortly and maybe between that and newer NetApp drops of code you will have some luck with this particular model.
We support the following versions of NetApp code on this release. Maybe you have a slighter newer version that isn't compatible? (P2) Do you have any other arrays you could test discovery on? Is this a NetApp array re-branded as IBM?
Thanks for the swift reply. Unfortunately I don't have other arrays to test out ViPR. Yes you are right, the NetApp array is a re-branded IBM. But it does not matter since the array is identical to NetApp FAS3140, right? I will certainly try a milestone version of the ONTAP and post the result here.
I have tried the following ONTAP versions (ONTAP Release 8.1.1P2 7-Mode, 8.2.1RC1 7-Mode, 8.2P6 7-Mode) available for nas-n6040. Still no luck. There is no official 8.2 GA release for nas-n6040 by the way. Do you have any suggestions what ONTAP version can be "parseable" by ViPR?
