I use Facebook. Some of the Dell Community VIP's use Facebook, as do most of the Dell Liaisons. Most of my colleagues in the security community use Facebook.

The thing that many people neglect to do first is research the security/privacy aspect, so in that case, it's like turning a child loose in an amusement park. Evermore, you are on the right track to inquire here first.  :emotion-21: Once you configure your settings (Be careful of those defaults.) you should be okay.

(I don't play the games, and I am careful of what applications I use.)

SpywareHammer has a forum HERE for discussion of social networking concerns. There are many articles - all about security there. Watch the dates on the older articles because some of the privacy concerns at FB have been addressed and fixed recently. Please feel free to ask questions in that forum. That's what it was set it up for. :emotion-15:

Thanks Red Dawn and Bugbatter for your comments. I now have some links I  can go to for research. A few of my family members are using "Facebook" and have asked me to take a look at it. I knew this forum would give me some advise.
