Thank you for the info. I figured out myself witht eh error message. Even though i tried to do a cleanup i was throwing me an error message saying i need to recover. So i had to restart the PP migrator service and unmap the lun on the arry and remap it . After that iw as able to cleanup and set up a new migration.

I believe using "-force" with the cleanup option would have worked also.

i've seen that in one of the primus solutions, to me that implies that sync completed successfully, i/o has been redirect to target device and you use -force cleanup to destroy PP relationship (that otherwise could not be deleted with simple cleanup command). As you know cleanup deletes header on the source device so if that's what it really does than in OP scenario it would have blown away production data.

Once you described it, your assessment Dynamox makes sense.  Thanks.

I just did some searching, and curiously if a user was to stumble on the following KB article they may have tried the "-force".  The KB article below really does need some context as to what the exact situation was leading up to the error message.  Like you noted, depending on where in the process the user is, it may not be the right choice.
