Hi, is there a document detailing all the commands such as svc_reinit etc? It would be useful to know all these in the event that GUI access is unavailable and a console connection is required.
The Unisphere CLI guide will not have detailed content about the VNXe system CLI. Service scripts (all those beginning with svc_) are designed for troubleshooting in special use cases for the VNXe system specifically.
The svc_reinit is a destructive action. Use of it will erase all system configuration including allocated storage, known hosts and management interface. It should only be used in the decommissioning or reallocation of a system to bring it to a factory-restore state. I'll bold my point to make it clear ---> If you ever have a situation where it seems like the only option, you should absolutely open a case with support to get the proper assistance from experts.
A similar script used for troubleshooting would be svc_reimage -- svc_reimage writes the VNXe OS image stored in the backend repository to the onboard SSD. Unlike the svc_reinit script, svc_reimage maintains the persistent configuration (including hostname, storage configuration, and host registration). This behavior makes svc_reimage nondestructive to user data.
Documentation is scheduled to be available, but we have a stringent sanity process before it can be published. We appreciate your patience and feel free to reach out here as well as on Spiceworks EMC page here: community.spiceworks.com/pages/emc

You need the Unisphere CLI User Guide for VNXe. You can find it on the Support by Product page for VNXe, under Documentation.
