Accounts

The final step to getting my wireless home network to share files was to logon to each machine with the Administrator account.  My problem is that on my w2k machine I've been using a different account for ~3 years and everything is all setup.  When I logon as Administrator I don't have the settings, etc.  Is there a way I can easily make Administrator act like my other account?

There is no "easy" way to do this...

Do you need to login with the Administrator account, or one with local administrative privileges?  If the latter will work, then log in to the admin account, and right click the my computer icon, and click manage.  Then click on the Users and Groups section, open the administrator group, and add the account you want to give local admin rights to.  Otherwise, have fun transferring the profile.  (It's easier to just rebuild the profile the hard way)

    Thanks for the reply, Delta.

Since I made the post I discovered that it was other problems masking my logon situation.  Now it is working.  I've discovered that I don't have to logon to the same account on all machines.  I do need to have the same account and password on all machines but I if I'm loggon with a different account on w2k I get prompted for name/password when I try to access files on the xp machine.
