Aero Stopped Working - Help

I have an XPS 1530 Laptop with Vist Home Premium 3G ram and the 256mg video card.  All of a sudden Aero has stopped working.  I have gone to personalize and checked that the display color settting was at 32 bit and the settings were at AERO.

 

It seems that I have someof the features, but I do not have the flipping card screens when you press ALT TAB.

 

Hope someone can help me resolve this problem......By the way. the computer has a performance rating of 4.8.

    isn't the flipping screens windows key+tab...

    This can happen if you select the Power Saver plan in Power Options. Read this: article Look at the laptop question.

    Let’s try this

    First to be sure the aero is stopped

    Go to start>right click command prompt run as administrator

    Type net stop uxsms

    Then type net start uxsms

    It should work…
