I recently purchased 3 dell computers over the past year and a half. Two were not eligble for the 64bit upgrade but one was. The upgrade DVD did not come with a COA and states I need touse the COA on the computer.
My question is; Can I use the DVD to upgrade all my vista computers using the Vista COA that came with them?
One of the computers was an upgrade from XP MCE 2005 that I upgraded to Vista Premium when the disks were sent out.
I was planning on doing another clean install on the XP MCE 2005 anyways.I figured now would be a good time to do this.

I understand your point but there is no price difference between the two nor will I able able to give my old disk to anyone.
Basically I am just swapping from 32bit to 64 bit. Same license.
In this instance am I really doing anything illegal? I would understand if there was a price difference between 64 bit and 32 bit.
Looking at a couple of articles it looks as though I am not breaking an laws.

Here you can order a 64 bit media DVD but do not gain another license.

Only if you have purchased a x64 license for each of them, otherwise it is possible but illegal.
