AOL 9.0 Optimized SE Released !
For AOL users, the latest version of AOL 9.0 OPTIMIZED SE has been officially released and is available for download at www.aol.com.
Go to the bottom of the above web page and click on Download AOL. Or click on AOL Downloads at the top of the page.
It is highly recommended that you close ALL programs when installing this new version. Be sure to turn off your virus scanner. If you have Process Guard, disable its protection.

Hate to be negative, but AOL is the most AD-Crazy IP there is. I bet the SE will even have more ads. I only use AOL, because other IP's would not work very well. I am assuming it is because of a weak modem card, but not sure. I'd hate to buy a new card and have the same problem.
Everytime AOL forces you to accept one up their "UPDATES" it usually results in a Java ad on the welcome screen.
These are not popups, I have popup controls on, I also have AOL set to block AOL ads. But AOL still shows these "Java" ads sometimes.
If AOL was free, I'd have no right to complain. But I pay $23.90 a month!!!
So, it has been my experience that AOL upgrades only benefits AOL and their advertisers.
If the day ever comes I can have broadband, or DSL, AOL is gone.487

I haven't found any new software, nor hardware, in recent years that is bug free.
As for the Ads...yep, AOL has its share of them.

I guess thats AOL's assurance that the software is bug free, Hmmmmm. Kip
