dell musicmatch program problem

the preinstalled music match somehow is corrupted and i don't use it.  I get a error on loading saying it cannot be found on initial startup .  I used remove programs and deleted music match but it left all the files in documents and settings and drivers still on hard drive.  Can i individually delte these or is there another way to safely remove the remianing files.  i reinstalled the program from the application disk that came with the system and it still does it so i removed it as stated above but need to get rid of these remianing files without effecting other applications.  Any help would be appreciated.  Dell said it could be a virus or spy ware...duh...i told them i ran spysweeper  and nortons thru it and its fine so they said pay us $99.00 and we will help you...right...help please

thanks

Edit your startup files to remove the mm references. You can edit the Run key in the Registry if you are comfortable with that or just uncheck it in msconfig, startup.
