Dimension 4400 will not wake from sleep mode.

I have a problem with a Dell Dimension 4400, it enters sleep mode and will not wake. The System is running Win XP home on a Dell 1702FP Flat panel display.
It has a 64MB, NV11 (Nvida) graphics card
I have set the power scheme to never turn off monitor or HDDs.
I have disabled power saving in the BIOS
I have disabled ACPI (by making it a ‘Standard PC’)
None of these actions have helped. The PC still goes into sleep mode and will not wake.

    deleteriousone,

Thanks for using the Dell Community Forum.

The Windows power saving features were written specifically for portable system where power consumption is critical.  When applied to desktop systems, they can have problems.

I would recommend turning off the power saving features.

That is my point, I do not have any power saving enabled. Yet the machine needs to be rebooted every morning because that is the only way to get video back.
