High processor load after sleep

My Inspiron 530s (E4500, 2G ram, Vista home premium up-to-date) has a 60% processor load when idle. This is a permanent state but only happens if it has been to sleep at least once. After a reboot, the load remains under 10%, which seems more reasonable.

I already tried several things to track the cause of the problem :
  • Checked in the resources monitor which service loads the processor : it is called "NT kernel & System"
  • Scanned for viruses and spyware (G-Data, Ad-Aware, Spybot). Nothing.
  • Booted in diagnostic mode (minimum services and drivers). No change.
  • Made a performance analysis in both states. No real problem was detected but the reports are clearly different. When the load is high, the report says that there is an high interrupts number (12k/sec). Unfortunately, that doesn't help me much.
Has anyone noticed the same behaviour on his computer ?

Suggestions welcome : I am running out of ideas.

After more searching and reading, I happened to realize that I had not conducted tests without any usb device plugged in. And this was the right direction.
I was quite quick to find out that the problem only appeared when the keyboard (Dell) was plugged in a hub (MSI MegaHub 7 ports). Powering or not the hub wouldn't change anything.
So I plugged the keyboard directly to the main board and that was it with the problem.

I still don't know why it behaves like this but at least I have a solution.

    Hope this will help others
