IE 7.0 Password problem?

I installed the new InternetExplorer 7.0 ( I know... I should go to FireFox).

I started having problems with Password retention.  When I go to a site that requires a password, I type it in and am able to function normally.... then when I attempt to click on a link on the website, I get prompted to enter my password again.

This happens on Delphi Forums and Hotmail as well as my WebAccess email connection.

Any idea???

FYI I am using IE7 and have hotmail, I too, am required to login at times to access my hotmail account. I think it has something to do with both IE7 and Live mail.  Today, I was using IE6 at work and could not access my hotmail account. After about three hours, it just started working.  Up in the air, but many websites are trying to get bugs fixed to work with IE7.

Hope this is of help to you. If you decide to uninstall IE7, it should uninstall clean and restore IE6.  I have done it several times just to see what issue may come up. So far, I personally have had no problems uninstalling IE7.

My suggestion, get rid of that. Do a system restore to a date before you installed that and do not install IE 7.0 for at least 3-4 months from now. The current is a Beta Version and the system is in the testing phase, so I will suggest that you do not go for that.

Also, do not install the Firefox 2.0. That will cause issues as well. See if you can find a 1.x version of Firefox and use that.

    Cheers!

IE7 has been out of beta for a month now.

Soupman, are you using CCleaner? I was having this problem til I unchecked the delete index.dat files under the windows tab.

No, I'm not using CCleaner.   What will that do for me?

CCleaner is a registry editing program that has caused similar problems to yours with IE7. If you don't have it, it is obviously not the problem.
