memory detectio
Our company currently has over 200 computers - both desktops and notebooks, locally and at various sites throughout the US... We need to know how much memory is in EACH slot on EACH computer. Is there any type of application that will allow us to gather this type of information?? We really don't want to go through the trouble of getting each user to supply us with it....

was the memory altered from when you bought the systems?
If they're all DELL just simply get the SERVICE TAG from each machine and plug that into this.
http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/en/product_support?c=us&l=en&s=gen
click on Current System Configuration
and input the SERVICE TAG
it will give you information on the Original Configuration without having to scan your computer.
