Modifying the Shortcut to Windows Explorer

Hey all,

I have put a shortcut to Windows Explorer on my desktop and I use it quite frequently. On all of my old computers, I had placed a modification to the shortcut path which made the Explorer tree open with the "C:\" tree expanded. I don't remember the modification and unfortunately, the disk that I had it saved to (along with several others) accidentally got exposed to direct sunlight. Basically, the only thing it's good for now is either a coaster or a piece to make a mobile out of.

Anyone know that modification? I truly would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance. -- SCB  :emotion-21:

Dave, what I posted works (for me) for both Vista 32 and 64 bit.  It also worked in XP.  I have Windows 7 installed but haven't done much with it yet.

Thanks a lot, guys. I had some free time yesterday and found those command line switches -- for XP. I wasn't sure that they would work for Vista and as it turned out didn't have time to test them. Found out almost too late that a family function which had supposedly been called off, was back on again. Families can be so much fun, 'eh?

Hey fireberd, long time no see. Nice to see a familiar "face". Guess I should stop by boards other than the security once in a while. I'm sure there are some other old timers that are still here from the days of DellTalk that I would run into if I stopped by once in a while.  :emotion-21:
