    Hi

    Please can you confirm the Make Model and OS, along with any configuration details like touch screen, backlit keyboard, SFF or tower etc etc.

    Also screen shots of the error and link accordingly.

      Kind Regards

    @Vixster

    That message normally means the program you are trying to open was built for a specific .NET Desktop Runtime version, and Windows cannot find it. The download link in the pop-up can fail, so install it manually from Microsoft instead.

    Open the error message again and note these details: The required version, for example 6.0.x, 8.0.x, or 9.0.x, The architecture: usually x64, sometimes x86 or Arm64, The name of the application producing the message

    You must install the Desktop Runtime matching the version and architecture shown.
    Install it manually
    Go to Microsoft’s official .NET download page.
    Select the major version stated in the error—e.g., version 8 if it says Microsoft.WindowsDesktop.App 8.0.x.
    Find .NET Desktop Runtime.
    Download the Windows x64 installer if the message says x64. For most standard Intel/AMD Windows PCs, x64 is correct.
    Open the downloaded .exe from your Downloads folder.
    Right-click it and select Run as administrator.
    Complete the installation, restart the PC, then try the application again. The Desktop Runtime package includes the base .NET Runtime, so both do not need to be installed separately.

    If it says it is already installed
    Go to Settings → Apps → Installed apps, search for .NET, and check whether the exact required Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime version is listed.

    Try downloading the .NET Desktop Runtime from the Microsoft website. If it still doesn’t work, restart your computer and try again.
