I upgraded my WinXP MCE 2005 to Windows Vista Home Premium on March 5th as soon as I got my Express Upgrade DVD. Everything went well and I have never experienced the problems with Internet connection.
I was one of the people in the Beta Program for Windows Vista, so I learned a whole lot about it before it was released to manufacturing, but no problems with Internet. I am using Dell Wireless to connect to the router, which is in turn connected to DSL modem. If you are on Dial Up, make sure that Dell Upgrade Assistant installed Vista drivers for your modem. Also, if you are using DSL modem directly, ensure that DSL drivers are compatible with Vista or get the new ones. If you are on a router, then I have no idea what the problem can be. Once again, make sure that all drivers are installed.
Can you tell me what kind of connection you are using, what kind of hardware it requires and name and driver versions you have for that hardware. If you use Wireless, try using LAN card to connect to router with a LAN cable, because two different hardwares may produce different results.
I hope this helps.
Eugene.
