os problem

I am trying to install Windows 7 32 bit on my laptop but i am facing a problem while installing. Once the installer boots up and i click on "Install Now" button, an error pops up saying that:  A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver ...,please insert it now. in dell  inspiron n5110

Usually this error messages results from a badly burned DVD, install via USB.

If using a retail .iso follow my instructions here. If using a Dell Reinstallation DVD (this shouldn't happen for one of those) follow the instructions here. Also load the SATA drivers http://downloads.dell.com/SATA/R292225.exe during installation. See my wiki A Clean Install of Windows 7 for details.

    Hi,

    Thanks for contacting the community.

I would like to know how you are installing windows 7 on this computer, is it through a USB flash drive or media CD? Are you installing it by the CD you have received along with the computer or have you created our own media disc?

Please reply if you have any further questions

    Thanks & Regards
