Even if I'm logged in as the administrator, Vista tells me I don't have permission to save files to certain folders. It's mostly saving text files to program files folders. Anyone have this problem? I'm considering going back to XP.
Aight, what I know about Vista is that it will make sure you are the boss and will ask you to do lots of things to understand that. To be able to easily save stuff into Program Files folder, right click it, properties, Security, and Click Advanced. Go to the Owner tab and make yourself the owner of the folder. And tada - there ya go - you will be able to do whatever you want to because Vista now knows who the boss is when it comes to Program Files. :smileyvery-happy:
I hope this helps.
Eugene.
