Win98se/Optiplex GX280

Question:

Win98se failing to recognise devices on onstall.

If running win98se safe mode, is it possible to

replace system.ini with a version specific to the

Optiplex GX280 so devices are recognised?

If so, could you paste me a copy?

Your problem is most likely caused by the lack of proper chipset and other drivers under Win98. Dell did not install or support Win98 on the GX280, so you won't see any drivers posted for that OS on our site. You may want to post over on the Optiplex boards to get advice from other users who may have been successful at getting Win98 running on their GX280 systems.
