Precision T5400 Processor Compatibility

I recently purchased a matched pair of Intel Xeon X5492 SLBBD processors. I am unable to get the machine to boot. Powers on for a few seconds then the machine powers off. Are these processors too much for this machine or is there something I can do to get them to post? VRM? Different power supply? BIOS update?
