<p>Eduardo is an experienced System Administrator. He received his BSc in Math from the University of Havana where he also attained the Adjunct Assistant Professor teaching category.</p> <p>He has installed, deployed, troubleshoot, maintained, upgraded, and supported VMware vSphere ESXi 5.x/6 virtualized environments, NetApp storage systems presented both as SAN and NAS, Dell PowerEdge & HP Proliant servers, Microsoft Active Directory domains, Windows & Linux servers. He has been responsible for the stability, integrity and efficient operation of 24/7 IT infrastructure and services supporting core functions for both in-house and external clients. He has defined and put in place Backup & DR strategies.</p> <p>Providing technical support at all levels, has always been an important part of the long career of this meticulous, reliable and self-motivated professional who has extensively used his analytic and problem-solving skills to design and implement technical solutions that streamline business operations, including automation of IT-specific and Business-related tasks by creating Windows & Linux OS level (shell) scripts. He has a terrific initiative under extreme pressure.</p> <p>He is passionate about learning and always willing to collaborate and share his knowledge.</p> <p>Eduardo lives in Toronto since 2005. In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies, bowling, playing chess and Irish handball. He is also a seasoned guitar player and acceptable singer. He loves to interact in Spanish, French, English or Portuguese so he can keep his language skills sharp.</p>
