EOP Print Server Update

Hi All

I currently have an EOP print server that is running 32 bit Windows Server 2003. I was wondering the best way of going about installing this a new Microsoft Server 2008 R2 64 bit server to replace the current server.

If I create a new server ready to go. Could I do the following:

1. Shutdown the old print server for decommission.

2. Rename the server 2008 to have the same name.

3. Install the EOP software.

Would this then go and install all of the printers again on this new server without me needing to do any more work? Or would it be best to have 2 print servers one for the 32 bit print server for Windows Server 2003 (32 bit) Session Hosts and 1 64 Bit print server for Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 bit) Session Hosts?

Gareth,

Assuming you have shared printers installed on your 2003 print server, you will need to create the same shares on your new server. The vWorkspace Print server installation will not migrate the shares or print drivers.
