ThinShell 2.0

Hello

I try to use ThinShell 2.0 on one of our Dell FX160 thin clients. The application setup and configuration went smoothly. Anyway when I try to login I get the following error message.

"The system cannot find the file specified"

On the broker I see the logon state is "pending" for that user.

Forgot to say. I'm using native mode.

As Francis is using Native mode i don't think that editing the XML file will fix this. I think it is because Thinshell cannot locate pntsc.exe on the system. The best way to resolve this is by checking if the system PATH variable has the path to pntsc.exe, eg C:\Program Files\Quest Software\vWorkspace Client\. The installer should do this but there seems to be occasions where it doesn't. Alternatively you can copy pntsc.exe into the C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Thinshell folder but I would recommend the editing the PATH variable.

Hello,

It sounds like you either need to copy pntsc.exe into the same directory as Thinshell or edit the xml file to include the full path to pntsc.

Thanks, Andrew

I checked the PATH variable and it already contains the pntsc.exe path C:\Program Files\Quest Software\vWorkspace Client.

After I copied the pntsc.exe in the Thinshell directory everything works fine.
