Windows Mobile Device Center not working with vWorkspace

We are running vWorkspace 8.6 with the Ubuntu Connector.  Our VDI's are Windows 7 Pro.

USB redirection works because I can plug in my thumb drive and it will redirect it to the VDI and I can see my files.  When I dock a MC1000 it will show as "Symbol USB Sync" under Unspecified Devices in Devices and Printers.  When I open WMDC it is not recognized and will not connect to the device.  I have also tried an MC9190 and have the same failed result.

Has anyone tried this before with any successful results?

Hi

In the Linux connector there is an Auto-Share Checkbox, make sure you enable this option and it will recognize the USB inside rh VDI VM.

I'm using the same method, but with purely customized Linux VDI EndPoint devices. Enabling the Auto-Share option it recognize the USB without any issues.

Regards,

Hussain
