Hi, I had the same issue today. Everything was working fine except for the front LEDs and the alien head logo on the front was flashing 2x amber 1x white. But absolutely everything else seemed to be working just fine. I shut it down turning power completely off. I waited a few minutes and unplugged power supply from the wall. I waited about 10 minutes and plugged back in, started up again and it completely cleared the issue. I have no idea what caused this to happen in the first place.

    • You need to post this under Alienware Desktops, you should get help there.

    2,1

    It blinks Amber, Amber, White.

The front of the PC doesnt light up as it should either.

The pc was all lit up then it did a auto update and the front face lights went out and I got this blinking alien head.

I want to clear this code and enjoy the front lights again. Thanks for your help.

    PS.. the computer runs.

2,1 CPU configuration or CPU failure

I would uninstall Alienware Control Center and Update to the latest version for the R13

You would have to follow these exact instructions to ensure it is properly uninstalled and reinstalled:

    AWCC Instructions Removal and Installation

How do I resolve this issue?

I would contact @DELL-Cares to check your warranty options. They are best suited to assist with warranty issues.

Did the auto update include a BIOS update? If so I'd clear the CMOS, windows isn't great at providing BIOS flashes

Just had this issue too with my R13. Went thru a chat session with Dell support. Ran system tests, uninstalled/reinstalled AWCC. Nothing helped. So they sent a tech to the house (warranty covered) with a new front bezel. Neither the tech nor I thought that was going to fix a CPU failure code blinking from the power button. After he installed the new bezel and we powered it up, we were floored. That was it. A bad front bezel. Light board must have failed. Had nothing to do with the CPU failing.
