Aurora R6, power button won’t turn on

Hi guys,

happy new year! My Aurora R6 gave me a surprise on New Year’s Day..

I typically put my PC to sleep every night and fully shut down once in a while. I shut it down this afternoon and tried to start it in the evening. However , whenever I press the power button, nothing happened. I followed the instruction from the R8 thread (unplug then pressing power for 25 sec and then plug in power; press PSU button in the back with power button;), none of which worked on my R6. I also unplugged all other cables and only plugged with the power cable, then tried to press the black button on the PSU and power button together, I can hear the fans start to spin and the power button will flash twice, stop for one sec, flash once, stop for one sec, then repeat the pattern again. Nothing else happens after that. Anyone run into this and can help me with it? Much appreciated!

Could this be the same issue that is causing R8/R9 not powering on? However, the powering trick doesn’t seem to work for R6..

this can be due to either failing psu or corrupted cmos.

try replace cmos battery with a brand new CR2032 and clear cmos settings.

PS the power button issue in R8 was associated with bios update.
