The new 17 R5 arrived in 2020, and the transit box label says it is a MLK refresh. The Dell MLK refresh adds Per-Key RGB Lighting to Alienware 17 Laptops. However, Dell Alienware Support for 17 R5 Drivers & Downloads does not provide download driver utility for laptop with keyboard per-key RGB lighting.
Starting in 2018 Fall, Dell’s Alienware 15 R4 MLK and Alienware 17 R5 MLK laptops will be equipped with new TactX keyboards featuring RGB LEDs and supporting n-key rollover for more than 100 key commands. The keyboards also feature 2.2 mm key travel in a bid to provide a very rapid keystroke response.
Has anyone managed to get their 17 R5 keyboard per-key RGB lighting to work and how was this done?
Internet search says that BootySatan is happy with their 17 R5 Per key RGB keyboard. They posted a photograph, and their keyboard is identical to our keyboard except that their keyboard lights work. We also note that all their other LED lights also work, but ours do not.

Starting on 22 August 2018 the 17 R5 MLK, user gaz260 says the 17 R5 has two build options: a) 4-zone, multi-colour RGB, keyboard with AlienFX lighting control b) Per key, multi-colour RGB, keyboard with AlienFX lighting control
However, all of our new 17 R5 purchased in 2020, keyboard lights are in dark mode.

"LEDs Keyboard Setting" failure to run creates logs in Event Viewer. a) Event 1026, .NET Runtime b) Event 1000, Application Error c) Event 1001, Windows Error Reporting.

AWCC FX is not installed on our 17 R5 which came with MLK refresh keyboard per-key RGB lighting and all the other preinstalled AlienFX devices and tron-lights. This 17 R5 is "stuck" in dark mode.
We do not have access to the AlienFX settings. Sad, very sad.
