Alienware 17 screen flickering issue
I recently had the power jack & motherboard replaced on my Alienware 17. Everything was fine until this afternoon when I turned it on and the power button was flickering and the screen started flickering on and off. I have a replacement battery just in case but the problem persisted. I then disconnected the battery and ran it on the adapter and the flickering stopped. Any ideas as to what the problem could be ?
Try a power drain: Unplug every external device from the system (including the AC Adapter), open the bottom cover and unplug the battery cable, then hold the power button for around a minute to drain all the power out.

Correct when the battery is disconnected the screen is fine
