So this is actually incorrect. I figured out the correct way. 1. Open Realtek audio console 2. Click device advanced settings. 3. Whichever jack has a device plugged in will not be greyed out. Change the box to what the device is, in my situation I changed from headphone to headset(with mic)
Get an adapter that plugs into that headset port and gives you separate mic and audio output jacks. Tell your laptop there’s a headset (mic + audio) plugged in, and that adapter will allow you to use both simultaneously.
Get a USB version of one or both of your audio devices.
Get a USB audio adapter that gives you separate mic and audio output jacks. It’s like Option #1 above except it plugs into a USB port instead of the headset jack.
