With "4-port SAS Cable Port" you mean a break out cable and you have not a 4 port Card? I ask because the "Dell 12Gbps SAS HBA" should be the standard dual port HBA and normaly you need a standard one-to-one cable to connect your devices to that HBA. Iam not aware of a #PN for a 4 Port Cable. I have seen such a cable in an HPE environment.
You see a error within Dell Storage Manger (for Compellent) or within the Windows OS? Do you have connected a Compellent SAN and your Tape to your Poweredge Server?
Note: In the past, with the old 6Gbit SAS HBA as soon as you have a Tape/Library connected no other devcies where supportet/allowed. Not sure about the new 12G four port HBA.
